Folmer listens to testimony on his REAL ID and Biometric and Economic Privacy
Act (Senate Bill 1220) during a public hearing of the Senate Communications and
Technology Committee. SB 1220 would exempt Pennsylvania from having to comply
with the federal REAL ID mandate, which requires states to turn their driver’s
licenses into a national identification card with personal information stored in
a national database.
