For Immediate Release Folmer Applauds Senate Passage Of Responsible State BudgetHARRISBURG (June 20, 2007) – Senator "Citizen Mike" Folmer (R-Lebanon) applauded the Senate's passage today of a responsible state budget that holds the line on taxes, spending, and borrowing. Folmer noted the following merits of the fiscal blueprint, which passed the Senate by the overwhelming margin of 49-1:
"We've sent the House a fiscally responsible budget that will help our economy and secure our future without punishing taxpayers," said Folmer. "Negotiations with the House and Governor are not final, but at least we're starting from the right place. I will continue to fight for fiscal responsibility in the Senate."
