DEP Public Hearing on Lebanon County Sunoco Pipeline Pump Station
The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection will be holding a public hearing on an operating permit for a natural gas liquids pump station (Sunoco Pipeline LP) in West Cornwall Township, Lebanon County at 7:00 p.m. on February 17 at Quentin Volunteer Fire Company Hall, 20 South Lebanon Street. Bills Pass Senate, Go to House
All bills passed unanimously unless otherwise noted.
Senate Bill 147 – allows royalty interest owners the opportunity to inspect gas company records to verify proper payment;
Senate Bill 148 – prohibits a gas company from retaliating against a royalty interest owner by terminating the lease or ceasing development because a landowner questions the accuracy of royalty payments;
Senate Bill 283 – amends state constitution to eliminate the Philadelphia Traffic Court.

Department of Military and Veterans Affairs Competitive Grants
The Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs announced availability of up to $750,000 in competitive grants for treatment programs of Veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and disorders such as substance abuse.

  1. Eligibility: Eligible organizations include Veterans’ service organizations and statewide 501(c)(3) charitable organizations serving Pennsylvania veterans. Documentation (mission statement, charter or bylaws) of services that benefit Pennsylvania’s veterans must be submitted with grant applications.
  2. Funding: DMVA anticipates awarding multiple grants, not to exceed a total of $750,000. Leveraging grant funding by pledging cash matches or in-kind assistance is encouraged, but not required.
  3. Deadline: Applications must be received by 3:00 p.m. February 13. Applications may be emailed to or delivered to the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Office of Administration, Bureau of Budget & Finance, Attn: Division of Grants, Edward Martin Hall, Bldg. 0-47 Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville 17003-5002.
