With the Senate passing three state budgets, a stop gap budget, and making several attempts to override gubernatorial vetoes, I’d appreciate your thoughts on the Governor giving his 2016 – 2017 budget address before the 2015 – 2016 budget has been finalized.


My frustration continues with the lack of progress on SB 3, my medical cannabis bill.

Act 1 of 2016: Keystone Exam Two-Year Delay
The Governor signed Senate Bill 880, a two-year delay of the Keystone Exams’ graduation requirement, into law as Act 1 of 2016.

February Cable Show: Farm to Table, Heart Healthy Cooking
My February cable show is at the Lebanon YMCA for a heart healthy soup cooking demonstration with Sodexo/WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital Executive Chef, Trevor J. Sipe. Perfect timing as February is American Heart Month! Lebanon Valley Chamber of Commerce Non-Traditional Student Scholarship
The Lebanon Valley Chamber’s Women in Business Committee is accepting applications for a Non-Traditional Student Scholarship for up to $1,000. A non-traditional student is “over 25 years of age and/or a single parent/displaced homemaker. The student must be registered at least half-time at an accredited institution offering two-year, four-year, and/or graduate degrees/certificates, and must reside, work, or attend an institution in Lebanon County.” Applications are available at the Chamber office at 604 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, or at The deadline to apply is April 4.
