Reminder: Highspire Borough Town Hall Meeting

Canceled and To-Be-Rescheduled: Lower Swatara Township Town Hall Meeting
I apologize I have to cancel my Town Hall Meeting scheduled for Monday, August 29 at the Lower Swatara Fire Hall. I am currently working on rescheduling and will announce the new date in a future edition of Mike’s Memo as soon as it is confirmed. Thank you!

Route 921 Bridge between East Manchester and Conewago Townships Closed
The Route 921 (Canal Road Extended) bridge, just west of Bear Road, over Little Conewago Creek between East Manchester and Conewago Townships, York County, will be closed through the end of August so that repairs can be made to the bridge deck and substructure. Motorists are detoured by Route 295 (Susquehanna Trail), Route 238 (Church Road), and Route 1031 (Board Road). Special provisions have been made with the Northeastern School District to allow school buses through the work zone when school resumes.

Pathways to Pardons: Empowering with Knowledge to Help Improve Lives
Lt. Governor Stack, as Chairman of the PA Board of Pardons, and I will be hosting a Pathways to Pardons program on Wednesday, September 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lebanon YMCA, 201 North 7th Street, Lebanon, PA 17046. The program is free, open to the public, and designed to inform constituents of the pardons process with time allotted for Q&A and discussion. 2015-16 Legislative Session: Senate Accomplishments
Beyond the budget, the PA Senate considered and passed numerous measures in the 2015-16 legislative session, from supporting veterans and improving education, to government reform and legalization of medical cannabis. To view these accomplishments, click here.

Veterans’ Expo and Job Fair, August 25 in Camp Hill
Veterans of all ages, active military, and their families are invited to the Veterans’ Expo and Job Fair, a free event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 25 at the Radisson Hotel Harrisburg, 1150 Camp Hill Bypass, Camp Hill. Exhibitors will include community service providers, healthcare professionals, VA benefits counselors, education/training providers, and business startup assistance, as well as businesses from home improvement, legal services, and finance, to retirement living and insurance.
