Canceled and To-Be-Rescheduled: Lower Swatara Township Town Hall Meeting
I apologize I have to cancel my Town Hall Meeting scheduled for Monday, August 29 at the Lower Swatara Fire Hall. I am currently working on rescheduling and will announce the new date in a future edition of Mikeís Memo as soon as it is confirmed. Thank you!

Pathways to Pardons: Empowering with Knowledge to Help Improve Lives
Lt. Governor Stack, as Chairman of the PA Board of Pardons, and I will be hosting a Pathways to Pardons program on Wednesday, September 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lebanon YMCA, 201 North 7th Street, Lebanon, PA 17046. The program is free, open to the public, and designed to inform constituents of the pardons process with time allotted for Q&A and discussion. I had a great time filming my September Community Report cable show at Paramount Sports Complex with owner, Holly Plummer, and family! The complex has a Ninja Warrior training course, climbing wall, fitness center, offers gymnastics and more Ė A true fitness friendly family facility in Annville, Lebanon County! Deck and York Airports to Receive Funding for Upgrades and Improvements
Twenty-three airports will make upgrades and improvements with the assistance of $8.8 million in state investments, including $5.4 million through PennDOTís Bureau of Aviation, Aviation Transportation Assistance Program (a Capital Budget grant program and leverages $3.6 million in local matching funds), and $3.4 million from PennDOTís Aviation Development Program (funded by the stateís jet fuel tax and leverages $1.1 million in local matching funds). Serving the 48th Senatorial District, Deck Airport (Lebanon County) was approved $90,000 to install a new weather observation system that reports current weather conditions to pilots, and; York Airport was approved $646,875 to rehabilitate the runway.

Disability Employment Outreach Day
The State Civil Service Commission, the Governorís Cabinet for People with Disabilities, and the Office of Administration are holding a Disability Employment Outreach Day on Friday, October 21 at the PA Fish & Boat Commission Headquarters, 1601 Elmerton Avenue, Harrisburg. Employment presentations will be at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., and job counselors will be available from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This is an informational event only where individuals with disabilities are invited to learn about the stateís civil service application, testing, and hiring process, and are asked to bring an up-to-date resume (no interviews or hiring will take place at the outreach event).
